Financial planning was a budding profession

In 1985...

Over twenty-five years ago, a group of passionate and independent financial planners who were looking for a better way to serve their clients formed the Center for Financial Planning, Inc. The original small group of founders grew the company to 20 employees.

The Center adopted the following philosophy and objectives that would guide the development of their individual practices and create a sharing environment.

    • The foundation of the practice would be based upon the financial planning process, which included determining client financial goals and objectives for short, intermediate and long term.

    • Financial plans would be comprehensive in nature, encompassing: net worth development; cash flow analysis; tax planning; investment planning and management; risk management; retirement planning and estate planning.

    • The primary focus would be to help clients achieve their financial goals through developing long term relationships with clients and monitoring their progress through the years.

Through the years, advice, tactics and strategies have changed, but the core of financial planning has remained the same – helping people with their life’s most important financial goals such as a successful retirement, education and minimizing taxes. The above objectives were created over 25 years ago and still remain true today.
