Abigail moved to Michigan after completing her undergraduate degree in Washington state, where she created a peer financial education program available to all university students. She was trained by local financial professionals in car and student loans, retirement savings, credit, and employee benefits; later facilitating a money skills class for students preparing to enter the workforce.
In addition to pursuing an economics degree, Abigail has been committed to community improvement through her work with organizations such as United Way, Rebuilding Together Oakland County, and Rock the Street Wall Street, leading county-wide Free Tax Prep events, writing grants, and redesigning finance curriculum.
She is excited to contribute to The Center’s charitable and events committees, learn about mid-life entry into the financial planning process, and eventually earn her CFP® license.
