Matthew E. Chope, CFP®, is a Partner and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional at Center for Financial Planning, Inc.® Active in the financial planning profession since 1990, he is a Registered Representative and Registered Principal with Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS).
In addition to helping individuals and families with financial planning, Matt also works with local corporations and non-profits on strategic planning and business management decisions. During his career, Matt has been a trusted source for investment-related newspapers and magazines.
Matt has taught accredited continuing education classes for life insurance agents in the areas of investments and markets. A past trustee for the Southfield Community Foundation, Matt was part of the Foundation’s Investment Committee until it merged into a much larger foundation. He oversees and manages several local endowments. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Michigan, The Estate Planning Council of Metro Detroit, and the CFA Society Detroit.
Matt is fascinated by economics and the financial markets, and even more by how people interpret them. He is intrigued by people's decision-making processes around money and the field commonly known as behavioral finance. In his experience, Matt believes this is where quality Financial Planners are truly able to help people in life.
Matt lives in Farmington Hills and frequently visits clients and friends in Arizona and Florida. He is an avid beach volleyball player and enjoys all things active and outdoors.
