Center for Financial Planning, Inc.® names Nick Defenthaler, CFP®, RICP® Partner

This, as the firm enters its 35th year in business

Southfield, Mich. (January 1, 2020) – Center for Financial Planning, Inc.® on January 1, 2020 named Nick Defenthaler, CFP®, RICP® its newest Partner. He will continue to lead the firm’s Financial Planning Department and contribute to the Operations Committee in addition to being a Senior Financial Planner. He has been with the firm for 7 years.

Defenthaler joins the existing ownership team to become the firm’s sixth Partner. As an owner, he will provide guidance to the growing team and work to bring The Center’s services to an even greater number of individuals and families. The Center’s twenty-nine member team and collaborative approach is unique because financial planning is generally an individual practice.

Managing Partner Tim Wyman, CFP®, JD says that Nick is a tremendous leader at The Center. “He is a highly technical practitioner who cares about the success of our clients and team members. Over the firm’s 35 year history, Defenthaler is the tenth employee to advance to Partner. He has been involved in the financial planning profession for over 12 years and joined The Center in 2013.

Defenthaler lives in Brighton with his wife and their two young children.
