Dear Clients and Friends of The Center,

At Center for Financial Planning, we stay connected to the community around us. This year, The Center moved into our new home. As we settle into our new space, we’re thinking about a charity close to our hearts: Humble Design.

Humble Design is a nonprofit that furnishes homes for individuals, families, and veterans emerging from homelessness. Using donated furniture and household goods, their teams turn an empty house or apartment into a settled, welcoming home, often in a single day. That fresh start gives people a stable foundation as they rebuild.

Our team has volunteered with Humble Design for many years. The reward is immeasurable. We get to see families walk into a house and find a permanent, beautiful home where they can feel safe and proud to raise their children.

A Different Way to Give This Year

Our move to the new location means we will pause our usual toy and book drive this year. Instead, our team will volunteer with Humble Design Detroit, and we would love for you to join us.

If you would like to contribute, please bring your donations directly to Humble Design’s collection center on December 3rd, between 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Members of our team will volunteer at the collection center during those hours, and we would love to see you there.
