Nick Defethaler, CFP®, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional at Center for Financial Planning, Inc.® In addition to working closely with clients as a Senior Financial Planner, he is Director of The Center’s Financial Planning Department and a member of the firm’s Investment and Operations Committees.

Nick joined The Center team in July 2013 and has been involved in the financial planning profession for 12 years. A frequent contributor to The Center’s “Money Centered” blog, Nick hosts many of The Center’s educational webinars and speaking engagements on financial planning and investment-related topics. He contributed to a PBS documentary on the importance of saving for retirement and has been quoted in articles published by CNBCMSN MoneyFinancial Planning Magazine, and

Personally, Nick loves to cook, is a die-hard Red Wings fan, and cherishes spending as much time as possible (ideally in the outdoors) with his wife and two young children.
